Implementing Real Change

Alacrity is a non-profit, founded by young people, that makes STEAM education something you build, not just study

For Innovation, Forever More

We don't want to be another Instagram account talking about science. We run real build sessions where students solder their own circuit boards, write their first lines of code, and walk away having actually made something — usually something that keeps measuring and reporting data long after the workshop ends.

Since forming in 2024, that idea has grown from a small volunteer group into a registered NGO with its own lab space, a growing list of technical sponsors, and partnerships with universities, science parks, and corporate foundations across Romania.

We do stand out.

Everything is open.

Our designs, course material, and even the air-quality data our students' devices collect are published for anyone to use - including teachers who want to bring this into their own classrooms.

Access isn't limited by income.

We believe quality technical education shouldn't depend on what a family can afford, and we structure our programs around that.

Our Airbox bootcamp was free - including things like housing and food for the duration of the event.

Not just peas in a pod

We are not all the same pea, and that's exactly what helps us grow and understand how to build the education of the future. Alacrity is hyper-diverse and inclusive, and we are always looking to extend to different people and cultures.
